Figure XX - Changing the number of divisions in the round

A silly example of a square to round with no height - it's just a plate with a hole in but it highlights the truncation error of the triangulation. The more divisions in the circle not only mean a smoother curve but reduces the cumulative error of the triangulation process.

Figure XX - Changing the height of the front elevation

Something you would probably never do on a drawing board is experiment with changing the properties. I was just curious to see how the true lengths pull the flat pattern around.

Figure XX - Changing the round diameter

Again it is easy to imagine that square gives a pyramid. I have got a rectangle-to-rectangle application in the works at the moment which is useful for tapered skips, wheel barrows etc. You often find tapering required for stacking reasons and mould making for releasing the material from the mould.

Figure XX - Minimum Bounding Box Area Calculation

If you've got a plasma or a laser cutting machine tool then you'll want to nest the pattern to reduce material wastage but for one-offs or you've only a guillotine then the minimum bounding box is the next best thing.
